Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Cruise star in rare BAFTA showcase of celebrity photos
BAFTA will use its London headquarters to showcase more than 100 photos, which include studio portraits, backstage images, as well as ‘red-carpet reportage and on-stage shots’ from awards ceremonies over the past year.
Famous subjects in the ‘BAFTA 2015: A Year in Pictures’ exhibition include Benedict Cumberbatch, Eddie Redmayne, Tom Cruise and Emma Watson.
The exhibition, which takes place on 7 and 8 November (10am-1pm), will coincide with an open weekend of talks focusing on different elements of the photography on display.
BAFTA says the photographers will use the talks to give an insight into their process, in discussion with journalists and industry insiders.
Photographer Ian Derry will discuss television portraits, Chris Floyd will address women in film and there will be a panel discussing paparazzi photography.
Each talk costs £7.
Entry to the exhibition is free and tickets can be booked by visiting http://www.bafta.org/whats-on/bafta-2015-a-year-in-pictures, where you can find further details of the photography talks.
